The answer is NO, for day to day estimating and getting around in the software, you donāt need any sort of certification to be able to write estimates in the software.
BUT, getting Certified is useful as leverage to getting line items paid.
Weāve had many, many contractors report back that when they added their Certification credentials to their email signature and few other key places like their company header, they were able to use the fact that they had been Certified to move their estimate āup the food chainā inside the insurance company and talk with someone who holds the same level of Cert.
