💰 Tip #5: Unlock Thousands in Your Estimate with Consequential Damages! 💰
Today, we’re diving into consequential damages and how photos can make a HUGE difference in your claim. So, what’s consequential damage? Here’s an example: if an adjuster says, “We’re not paying for those flashings—they weren’t hit by hail,” here’s the truth: they’ll still get damaged in the repair process. This is where the IRC code works in your favor! 📸
Pro Tip: Snap a photo of the nail going through the flashing when you lift the shingle. The IRC code says damaged flashings cannot be reused. That nail? It’s damaging that flashing—consequential damage, right there!
💡 Tip Recap: 1️⃣ Capture these photos every time, following your checklist. 2️⃣ Use code references to get code-related items paid.
This is the final tip in our 5-part series. Check out the rest on the feed, and start maximizing your estimates! 💸
